In late 2009 Michael was contacted by Kevin Finch of
The Big Table (Big Table exists to build community around food and care for those in crisis or falling through the cracks in the restaurant and hospitality industry in the USA). Within days the first visit of Ark Global to the USA was arranged.

Michael returned to the USA in May 2010 where he visitied Spokane Community College, Washington and the Inland Northwest Culinary Academy. Thanks go to Duane Sunwold and the Spokane Hospitality team for all they did to ensure that Michael had a successful visit.
